I left Vietnam for Singapore in 2008 for uni...I was full of hope — but also full of doubt.

Navigating a new (and very competitive) culture, I struggled to find the right opportunities, constantly feeling "not good enough".

Until I decided to stop comparing myself with others and focused on building a strong foundation by showing up ready to learn and solve problems, one project at a time, one connection at a time.

I had a rather fulfilling career in Singapore with lots of meaningful connections.

Years later, I moved to Australia as a mid-career professional. I thought I was ready — but 70 job applications and zero responses told me otherwise.

That setback became my turning point. I changed my strategy.

While doing my Master of Education at UTS (graduated with High Distinction), I intentionally grew my network and created "top of mind" impressions through LinkedIn and 1:1 coffee chat (I still don't enjoy big networking events), one connection at a time.

And thanks to a referral from one contact (and lots of prep), I landed a Career Coach role at UNSW after graduation, kickstarting a whole new career for me in Australia. I’ve since coached 2,500+ students and professionals into roles at Meta, Amazon, Salesforce, Big 4, and more.

Now, I help early and mid-career professionals rebuild confidence, craft a compelling story, build strong referral connections, and land international roles aligned with their core capability.
